Having a Relationship With God Leads Us Into a Life of Thankfulness
1 John 4:19 (NIV)
(19) We love because he first loved us.
Romans 3:21-24 (NIV)
(21) But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify.
(22) This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile,
(23) for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
(24) and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
How are we made righteous?

A New Lifestyle
(11) Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee.
(12) As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance
(13) and called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!”
(14) When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed.
(15) One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice.
(16) He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan.
(17) Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine?
(18) Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?”
(19) Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”
‘Cleansed’ and ‘well’ in Greek have different meanings. The men that were ‘cleansed’ were physically
healed. The man that was made ‘well’ was physically, spiritually and emotionally whole.
King James Version uses the words ‘cleansed’ and ‘whole’ respectively.
